The Morning Star International High School (MOSHIGH) is a renowned private institution in Ghana that has been in existence since 1965. The school began as a basic school at Cantonments until August 2011 when the secondary section was added to the already functioning primary school. The secondary section started at Tantra Hill and was later relocated to its present location at Dodowa.
The brain behind the establishment of the Basic School was the venerable Mrs. Esme Praah Siriboe, a god-fearing woman who was passionate about the education of the future generation. As a dedicated Christian she began the school with Christian principles. Currently the two co-Directors of the school are, Mrs Nana Abena Kwakyi and Ms. Nana Yaa Siriboe. The school has a preserved tradition and a cherished culture that are firmly rooted in Christianity, promoting education, inculcating moral values and also preparing students for responsible adult life.
The school has always tried to maintain its international standards by using modern teaching technologies combined with modern teaching methodologies that actively involve students in the teaching and learning processes for effective content delivery. Thus, the school provides students with the space and all the resources needed to excel. Besides teaching and learning, MOSHIGH creates opportunities for nurturing and grooming individual talents.
Our high school provides both the GES-WASSCE and the Cambridge curricula for its learners of diverse nationalities. The Cambridge Education system includes the lower secondary level (Year 7, 8 and 9) and the secondary level (IGCSE and A LEVEL). MOSHIGH has been remarkably successful in its academic pursuit and the results recently released for 2024 WASSCE were no exception.
The Morning Star International High School is a member of the Partner Schools Global Network and meaningful strategies and collaborative relationships are cultivated by all stakeholders to benefit students. The school looks to the future with the acknowledgement of the ever-changing local and global framework of the educational industry.
