The Mission of SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College is to provide a school of academic excellence for students from SOS Children’s Villages from all over Africa, together with students from the host country, Ghana, in a spirit of Pan-Africanism and an awareness of the social needs of society.
SOS-HGIC is an institution that embraces internationalism, a commitment to uplifting Africa, and active community service. The College offers a holistic education, aiming to develop students into confident, compassionate thinkers equipped with critical and analytical skills to navigate an ever-changing world.
SOS-HGIC offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, starting from Middle Years Programme 4 and 5 through to the Diploma Programme 1 & 2. This rigorous program fosters academic excellence, independent inquiry, and a global mindset. Students develop critical thinking, research, and communication skills, preparing them for top universities worldwide.
